Delete your Zen Agenda account

You have the right to request full deletion of your Zen Agenda account and associated data, under GDPR Art. 17. Below are the two deletion paths.

Method 1 — Directly from the app

The fastest path, if you can log in. Deletion is instant.

Steps:
  1. Open the Zen Agenda app on your phone or in the browser
  2. Go to Settings (the gear icon)
  3. Tap Delete account
  4. Confirm the request — account and data are removed immediately

Method 2 — Email request

Use this path if you can no longer log in (forgotten password + lost phone, etc.) or if you want partial deletion.

Send the email FROM the address used to register the account — this is the identity verification required by GDPR Art. 12(6). If you no longer have access to that address, we will request additional proof of identity (invoice, ID).

Subject: „Cerere ștergere date"

Include in the email:

  1. Full name of the account holder
  2. Email address used at registration
  3. Business or practice name
  4. Phone number (optional, for extra verification)
  5. Reason (optional)

What gets deleted

Once the request is confirmed we permanently remove:

  • Your user account, password, settings and subscription
  • All past and upcoming appointments
  • Client database, contacts and associated notes
  • Activity history, statistics and reports
  • Uploaded files and photos
  • Support chat conversations

How long it takes

We confirm receipt within 7 business days. Deletion from production systems is immediate; deletion from backups happens within the normal backup rotation cycle (max 30 days). For complex or numerous requests the deadline may be extended by up to 2 further months (GDPR Art. 12(3)) — we will notify you if that applies. The request is free of charge.

Our sub-processors (payment processor, hosting, transactional email, backup) receive the same deletion instruction under the DPAs we have with them.

What we keep by law

Under Romanian accounting law (Legea contabilității nr. 82/1991, art. 25), annual financial statements are retained for 10 years; invoices and payment supporting documents for 5 years (Ordin MFP 2634/2015). These cannot be erased on request. Payroll records are retained for 50 years.

Alternatives to full deletion

If you do not want full deletion, you can request via the same email: (a) account deactivation — data is kept but the account is no longer accessible, or (b) a data export in JSON / CSV format to move to another system.

If we refuse the request

If we refuse the request or do not process it within the legal deadline, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
